- 2 cups water
Steps to make to make Veg biryani
- Firstly, in a large cooker heat 2 tbsp ghee.
- Saute on low flame bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, and cumin seeds.
- Further, saute chopped onions to golden brown. Also add 1 tsp ginger – garlic paste saute well.
- Additionally, add in mixed vegetables,now add in curd keeping flame on low.
- Also add in turmeric, chilli powder, biryani masala, coriander powder salt to taste.
- Keeping the flame on low, mix well till all the spices are combined well.
- Spread soaked rice. Soak basmati rice for 30 minutes. Further, sprinkle biryani masala and salt.
- And pour 2 cups of water from side of cooker without disturbing layers.
- Cover the cooker and simmer for 25 minutes or till the rice cooks well.
